Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a Production Foreman for the C101 team. The role supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to skill and experience.

Relocation is not provided and a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for Foreman new hires. US Citizenship is required for this position; the role is full-time and on-site with multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have: Bachelor’s Degree OR Apprentice Certification OR High School with 4 years combined manufacturing/shipbuilding/trades/military experience OR Associate Degree with 3 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to skill, experience and job knowledge.
• Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and productivity of work.
• Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans.

Apprentice Certification

High School + 4 years manufacturing/shipbuilding/military

Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical + 3 years relevant experience
