HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division in Virginia is seeking a Foreman to lead skilled trades teams in manufacturing, installation, testing and process operations with significant financial impact.

The role requires supervisory experience in shipbuilding or manufacturing, and a path to training leaders. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered for qualifying new hires; benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401K.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent trade certification.
• Apprentice certification permitted.
• High School with 4 years manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades or military experience.
• Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical with 3 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coordinates, and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge.
• Trains employees and assists in development of training procedures to improve productivity.
• Monitors job and budget performance for all shifts and ensures compliance with drawings and procedures.
