Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, seeks a Foreman to supervise and coordinate semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel on complex naval manufacturing projects. You will ensure adherence to drawings, procedures and performance standards while leading teams on multiple shifts.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a higher education level or equivalent manufacturing/shipbuilding experience.
Experience leading trades personnel and ensuring adherence to drawings and procedures.
Strong training, coaching and productivity improvement skills.

Responsibilities

Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel.
Trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work; develops practical action plans.
Helps ensure compliance with drawings, procedures and process operations with financial impact.
