Job summary

Goose Creek, SC-based Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. seeks a Foreman to supervise and coordinate trades personnel across manufacturing and shipbuilding operations. You will ensure adherence to drawings, procedures, and safety standards while guiding teams to meet production goals.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for qualifying applicants. Must have a relevant degree or trade credentials with substantial experience; relocation is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent manufacturing, shipbuilding or trades credentials.
• Apprentice Certification acceptable in lieu of degree.
• High School diploma with 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades or military experience.
• Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical field with 3 years relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to skill, experience and job knowledge.
• Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed.
• Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity and assists in development of training procedures.
• Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans.
• Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations with significant financial impact.
• Supervises qualified trades staff; monitors job and budget performance for all shifts.

High School + 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience

Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience
