Job summary

Taylor Defense Products LLC is seeking a skilled welder/fitter to assemble and repair steel structures and components. You will join the welding group to meet expected workloads and ensure high quality outputs set by the department.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting welding parameters, operating cutting and welding equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA regulations. Forklift operation and on-site collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Weld and fit on new assemblies and repairs.
• Read blueprints, schematics and manuals related to welding.
• Produce jigs, templates and tools to boost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Weld out weldments using hand and semi-automatic equipment.
• Set voltages/amperage for material thickness.
• Observe burning machine operation and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace per OSHA regulations.
• Operate forklift and assist on other repairs as needed.
