Job summary

Opti Staffing is seeking a Welder/Fitter for a NE Portland shop. The role involves fitting, fabricating and welding parts from blueprints, with FCAW welding and occasional TIG as needed. You will read drawings, operate fabrication equipment and ensure parts meet strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of welding experience.
• FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) experience.
• Basic TIG welding knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Must pass a 3G weld test.
• Experience operating fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Fit, fabricate and weld parts using drawings and blueprints.
• Perform FCAW welding and assist TIG as needed.
• Operate fabrication equipment, welding machines, drill presses and shop tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specs.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment.
