Job summary

A leading utility and communications company in Salem, Oregon, is seeking experienced Welders/Fitters to join their team. You will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling structural steel components used in infrastructure projects. Successful candidates should have a minimum of 3 years in welding and fabrication, with proficiency in GMAW. The role offers competitive pay ranging from $22.00 to $32.00 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) plan and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication, especially in production.
• Must complete an on-site welding/skills test as part of the hiring process.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in variable shop conditions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
• Cut, fit, and weld steel using GMAW spray transfer.
• Conduct plasma and oxy/fuel cutting.
