Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of structural steel fabrication in a production shop.
• AWS 14.1 SMAW (stick) and FCAW (flux core) certification required.
• Experience welding fabrications and repairs to various steel grades per AWS.
• Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork, safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Weld (carbon, manganese, and stainless) and fabricate industrial lifting magnets per AWS standards.
• Cut (plasma arc/torch), clean, and prep welding materials.
• Review work orders and gather necessary materials.
• Read prints, lay out, and fabricate to specifications.
• Prepare, construct, and finish welds; follow safety policies.
• Operate and maintain hand, power, and shop tools.
• Complete QC documents and support quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
