Job summary

Crane 1 Services is seeking a production welder/fabricator to join our shop team. You will fabricate and assemble components for repair, remanufacture, and maintenance of magnet systems using a variety of tools and machines.

You will interpret blueprints and drawings to determine project scope and requirements, contributing to a dependable, growing workforce. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration, with on-the-job training and coaching.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years in structural steel fabrication with production shop experience.
• Certifications: AWS 14.1 SMAW (stick) and FCAW (flux core).
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Weld (carbon, manganese, and stainless steel) and fabricate industrial lifting magnets per AWS standards.
• Cut (plasma arc/torch), clean, and prep welding materials.
• Review work orders and retrieve materials as needed.
• Read prints and lay out parts per specifications.
• Maintain quality and safety standards; complete QC documents.
