Job summary

Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI) in Pella, IA is seeking a full-time welder/tacker to assemble, weld, and repair equipment and tooling on the first shift. You will read prints, use gauges, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• Weld per customer and/or company specs after training.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to use a tape measure.
• Work effectively within a team environment.
• Maintain urgency, reliability, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Tack/Weld/fabricate and repair equipment and tooling.
• Grind/Clean/Bevel welds as required.
• Use correct weld gauge for weld size.
• Review schedules, prints, and tech standards.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and housekeeping.
• Contribute to team within budget, time, and quality specs.
• Assume additional tasks as needed under supervision.
• Comply with procedures, policies, and safety regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance and ongoing training.
