Job summary

Crane Company is seeking a skilled production worker in California to join our shop floor. You will load and unload, operate and assist with machines, inspect products, and help move materials through production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires reading drawings, welding/fabrication exposure, forklift experience a plus, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Weekend shifts may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• 2+ years warehouse or production experience.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• 1 year welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
• Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
• Observe equipment operations and notify operators of malfunctions.
• Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or with hoists.
• Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas.
• Pack and store materials and products.
• Help Operators, Welders and others with supplying or holding materials or cleaning areas.
• Count finished products to determine if orders are complete.
• Measure amounts of products, lengths, or weights to spec.
• Analyze drawings, blueprints, specs to plan layout and welding operations.
