Job summary

Crane in California is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, and related duties across the warehouse. This role may involve operating a forklift and assisting fabricators and installers as needed.

You will maintain clean work areas, verify stock, follow safety policies, and handle materials for deliveries. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, be comfortable standing long hours, and meet OSHA requirements; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required; forklift/overhead crane experience is preferred.
• OSHA certification current or required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
• Load and unload materials to and from designated storage areas such as racks, shelves, or vehicles.
• Stack or pile materials such as lumber, boards, or pallets.
• Condense bins and make/keep slabs visible.
• Build bundles for trucks and load them as they come back in preparation for the next day’s deliveries.
• Cut slabs as needed.
• Install protective devices such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
• Verify computations against physical count of stock.
• Maintain condition of work area (free of trash, products in correct location).
• Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same.
• Receive and fill orders of materials, and products for fabricators (installers) and subcontractors.
• Operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
