Job summary

Lift Solutions and CapCo Crane & Hoist are seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team. You will lay out, weld, and assemble components for overhead cranes and lifting equipment across diverse industries.

Reading blueprints and interpreting specifications will guide precision fabrications, with emphasis on safety and quality. You will perform welding tasks (MIG, TIG, SAW, FCAW) on various metals, inspect welds, and ensure assemblies meet strict standards while supporting on-site

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints for layout and fabrication.
• Experience welding steel, aluminum, and other metals.
• 3+ years as welder/fabricator in industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
• Know safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Able to lift heavy materials in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

• Layout/manufacturing of electric overhead bridge cranes
• Perform welding tasks on various materials, such as steel, aluminum, and other metals, using various welding processes (GMAW, SAW, FCAW,) to meet precise quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate custom parts and assemblies for overhead cranes, lifting equipment, and other industrial applications.
• Assemble fabricated components into final products, ensuring structural integrity and alignment.
• Inspect and test welds and finished products to ensure adherence to safety standards, specifications, and quality control requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fabrication equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while working in a fabrication shop or on-site to ensure a safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and identify solutions to maintain workflow and quality.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for layout, cut, and various metal shapes and sizes
• 3+ years of experience as a welder and fabricator in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metalworking processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow OSHA guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
