Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a Welder Fabricator to join our production team in the Chesterton/Michigan City area. You will weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping to exact specifications and fabricate components per project requirements using the appropriate tools and equipment.

You will inspect welds for quality, operate material-handling equipment, and follow procedures while maintaining safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on welding experience including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
• Strong knowledge of metal properties and structural fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs and isometric drawings.
• Experience with piping runs and stainless-steel operations is a plus.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping to specifications.
• Fabricate parts and structures per project requirements using tools and equipment.
• Inspect welds for quality and adjust to meet standards.
• Operate fork trucks and cranes for material movement.
• Follow standardized procedures with attention to detail.
