Job summary

John Deere is offering an Engineering Development Program in Weld for recent graduates. You will rotate through Weld Manufacturing Engineering, Fabrication, and Tooling areas across Midwest locations, gaining hands-on experience in welding processes and tooling design.

The program emphasizes teamwork, problem solving, and communication, with relocation as required and no visa sponsorship. Eligible candidates have a welding engineering degree and a 2.8+ GPA, with 2026–2027 graduation window.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Welding Engineering or related field with graduation window Dec 2026–Aug 2027.
GPA 3.0+; minimum 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
Willing to relocate to John Deere factory locations in the Midwest.
US Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Previous intern or co-op in weld engineering.
Strong problem solving and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Participate in eight-month rotations across Weld Manufacturing Engineering.
Learn and execute weld processes in multiple areas (Weld OFP, Fabrication OFP, Tooling).
Work at John Deere locations in the Midwest.
Collaborate with teams to solve problems and improve processes.
Support engineering projects and documentation.
