Job summary

John Deere invites early-career engineers to join the Engineering Development Program in Factory Engineering. The two-year program offers eight-month rotations across assembly, automation, robotics, and tooling at Midwest locations to build practical product development experience.

You will analyze data, contribute to business cases, and learn in a collaborative, structured environment with strong career growth potential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Software, Electrical Engineering or related field with anticipated graduation Dec 2026–Aug 2027
  • GPA 3.0+ on 4.0 scale; minimum 2.8 GPA required

Responsibilities

  • Collate and analyze data using preset tools and formats; work independently.
  • Carry out product development and factory engineering activities to define and deliver products.
  • Contribute to business cases to quantify costs and ROI.
  • Support feasibility studies from technological and organizational perspectives; document findings.
  • Assist knowledge management systems and identify process improvements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers as primary contact within a contract plan.
  • Work within project management plans to achieve goals.
  • Follow established procedures to achieve designated outcomes.
