Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Welding Engineer in Van Wert, OH to develop, optimize, and support MIG, TIG, and resistance welding processes in a vehicle manufacturing environment. You will partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure weld quality, drive continuous improvement, and support new product launches, while applying Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste and costs.

The role requires education in welding-related field and 3 years' experience; AWS certification is

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Welding, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in welding engineering or weld process development in manufacturing.
AWS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize MIG, TIG, and resistance welding processes.
Define welding parameters, procedures, and standards.
Investigate welding defects with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with AWS, ISO, and IATF 16949 standards.
Conduct weld audits, support PPAP submissions, and develop PFMEA and control plans.
Apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste, cycle time, and consumable costs.
