Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Division I and welding processes (MIG, TIG, SMA, stick) and NDT testing.
• Lean Manufacturing and problem solving abilities.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• People management and leadership responsibilities.
• Quality management and continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to read/interpret technical/regulatory materials; write reports.
• Proficiency with basic database/office software.
• Preferred certifications include AWS Welding Supervisor, CWI, or SCWI.
• Technical knowledge of ASME codes for pressure vessels and welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage production across Welding/Fabrication/Hydro departments based on schedules and shipments.
• Lead safety initiatives: toolbox talks, safety meetings, hazard assessments and a safe workplace.
• Enforce welding procedures, monitor material usage, minimize scrap and rework.
• Directly supervise up to 25 employees; assign work, train, evaluate performance, hire, discipline.
• Coordinate with Production Control and Engineering to schedule orders and resolve issues.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating processes and equipment.
• Prepare production reports and participate in meetings; track metrics and take corrective action.
• Coordinate inspections and certifications; liaise with engineering, clients, and inspectors.
