Job summary

Bolzoni North America seeks a Welding Coordinator to ensure high-quality welding across our manufacturing network. You will develop welding procedures, qualify welders and drive continuous improvements in welding technologies and processes.

You will collaborate with Production Engineering, Quality and OEM partners to align welding practices with AWS/ISO 3834-2 standards and ISO 9001. This position requires CWE/CWI certification and strong cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• CWE or CWI certification required.
• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering or quality leadership.
• Knowledge of welding standards (AWS, ISO 3834-2) and ISO 9001.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and structured problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to AWS/ISO standards.
• Oversee welder qualification processes and ensure compliance.
• Support welding operations across multiple plants with technical guidance.
• Analyze welding/metallurgical issues and implement root cause actions.
• Supervise welding activities to ensure procedural adherence and quality.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to maintain ISO 9001/ISO 3834-2 compliance.
• Lead OEM readiness efforts through APQP and PPAP and perform process validation.
• Manage OEM claims using 8D, A3, and 5 Whys; monitor process quality with SPC.
