Monroe Truck Equipment in Monroe, WI is offering a Welder School Trainee program designed to train motivated individuals in MIG welding. No prior welding experience is required, with paid training and a clear path to a welding career within our on-site facility.

During the 6-week GMAW on-the-job training, trainees will learn welding processes, safety practices, blueprint interpretation, and Monroe’s workmanship standards.

Qualifications

Candidates excel at the training; possess mechanical aptitude, good hand/eye coordination, a desire to learn.
Able to work with hands-on instruction and enjoy teamwork.
No prior welding experience is required.

Responsibilities

Position:Weld School Trainee

The 6-week gas metal arc welding (GMAW) on-the-job training program is designed to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge to:

Understand the GMAW process
Use the proper safety precautions for arc welding
Learn the impact that key variables have on weld integrity and identify weld defects
Interpret blueprints utilized in the welding environment
Create an understanding of Monroe Truck Equipment's workmanship standards

As a welder, you will be responsible for safely preparing metal for weld operations per our customer specifications, drawings, and instructions from engineering.
