If you have never welded before, but have always had an interest, we can train you in MIG welding. Candidates who excel at this training possess mechanical aptitude, have great hand/eye coordination, bring a desire to learn, appreciate hands‑on instruction, and enjoy teamwork. Again, no prior welding experience is required. This is a great opportunity for people looking to transition to a new career!

Classes starting November 9th 2026

Position: Weld School Trainee

Status: Fulltime

The 6‑week gas metal arc welding (GMAW) on‑job training program is designed to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge to:

• Understand the GMAW process
• Use the proper safety precautions for arc welding
• Learn the impact that key variables have on weld integrity and identify weld defects
• Interpret blueprints utilized in the welding environment
• Create an understanding of Monroe Truck Equipment's workmanship standards

As a welder, you will be responsible for safely preparing metal for weld operations per our customer specifications, drawings, and instructions from engineering.
