Job summary

RTX in West Des Moines, IA is seeking an experienced Welder to support production and prototype assemblies. You will perform welding, soldering, and brazing, read drawings, and ensure parts meet specifications while adhering to quality systems.

This onsite role requires a HS diploma (or GED with 2 years' experience) and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Training will cover welding procedures, SAP usage, and continuous improvement initiatives to help your career grow within RTX.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Manufacturing Weld experience
• Previous experience reading, understanding and working off blueprints.
• Communication experience with all levels of employees and management

Responsibilities

• Understand welding theory and processes.
• Perform welding, soldering, and brazing on production and prototype parts.
• Weld parts meeting drawing requirements.
• Use shop tools and welding equipment to complete tasks.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure quality standards.
• Follow welding procedures and quality systems; participate in improvements.
