Job summary

RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, invites applications for an onsite welding role. The position involves setting up and operating automated welding systems, reading blueprints, and training others in welding tasks.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. The shift is 3x12 Friday–Sunday, with a pay range around $32 per hour.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience with welding processes and metal properties is preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up programs and operate TIG, MIG welders and related systems to produce consistent welds
• Write programs and adjust parameters to solve complex part conditions
• Perform fusion welding to construct powder containers
• Interface with Engineering or design personnel to facilitate fabrication
• Work from blueprints, drawings, and sketches issued by the engineering dept
• Possess ability to train others to perform routine welding tasks
• Comply with all company rules and the employee handbook
• Support continuous improvement and CORE/EH&S initiatives including PPE usage
• May be assigned additional tasks to support department objectives
• The position will work a schedule of Friday - Sunday (3x12) 7:00pm - 7:00am (5th shift)
