Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. seeks an Experienced Welder to perform production welding, service and repair welding, prototype building and fitter welding in a fast-paced shop.

The role involves welding according to preset parameters using MIG, ARC and TIG processes, collaborating with supervisors to drive continuous improvements and meet quotas. Education: high school diploma; AWS D1.1 SMAW cert required; heavy truck or automotive experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Welding processes include MIG, ARC and TIG.
• Certification in welding required or preferred.
• Heavy truck/automotive industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits
• Fabrication of custom prototypes and jigs from drawings
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws
• Maintain safe working environment and adhere to OHSA regulations
• Keep detailed reports and documentation
