Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Weld Trainee in Darien, Wisconsin. This is a first-shift position with a potential to hire after training. Responsibilities include MIG welding, fabricating stainless steel tanks, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring leak-proof welds.

Preferred candidates have prior welding experience or welding school training, can read blueprints, and are able to work safely in a manufacturing setting. The wage is $19.15/hour.

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience or formal training in welding.
• Ability to read measuring devices and basic blueprints is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and occasional TIG welding per instructions and safety rules.
• Fabricate and weld stainless steel tanks and components to specs.
• Ensure welds are leak-proof and pass pressure tests.
• Read blueprints and work orders to guide fabrication.
• Inspect weld quality and dimensions; maintain clean work area.
