Job summary

Lincoln Electric seeks an Applications Welding Engineer to join our team at our world headquarters in Euclid, Ohio. The AE team designs and executes customer support projects, demonstrations, and development evaluations to advance welding technology.

This role involves working with customers, sales, and product teams to address complex challenges, evaluate new technologies, and implement solutions using current and next-generation Lincoln Electric products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or related field; Welding Engineering preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills related to manufacturing and welding processes.
• Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers, market segment teams, and Technical Sales Representatives to understand challenges and identify gaps.
• Lead and manage applied R&D projects, including customer support initiatives and demonstrations.
• Troubleshoot complex welding applications and manufacturing challenges.
• Identify and recommend productivity improvements and welding best practices.
• Conduct welding demonstrations and communicate technical and business value.
• Develop SME knowledge across Lincoln Electric welding equipment and consumables.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and R&D teams on new product development.
• Represent customer needs in product development as Voice of the Customer.
• Document results and provide technical recommendations for customers and internal teams.
