Job summary

Contech in Topeka, KS is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our plant. You will contribute to infrastructure projects, including drainage, pipes, bridges, and stormwater systems. Reading blueprints, marking layouts, and precise welding are core duties.

Qualifications

• Use cutting or plasma torch to achieve precise layouts.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Uses template, pattern, scribe, etc. to mark and lay out material.
• Aligns and assembles product for welding using crane, lever hoist ,chains, etc.
• Uses cutting or plasma torch to burn to precision layout.
• Adheres to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.

About You

We Require:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, and Stick welding.
• Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
