Contech Engineered Solutions in Topeka, KS is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our plant. You will read blueprints, lay out material, and weld components using MIG and Stick processes to support drainage systems and bridges.

You will work with precision instruments, follow safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement through hands-on training and teamwork. Competitive wages with overtime and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Ability to read measurements and use precision tools for layout and alignment.
• Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding techniques with attention to safety protocols.

• Mark and lay out material using templates, patterns, or scribes.
• Align and assemble components for welding using crane, hoist, and other equipment.
• Operate cutting/plasma torch to achieve precise layouts and sizes.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

We are looking for a WELDER/FABRICATOR to join our Topeka, KS plant. As a Welder with Contech you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

About the Role

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Uses template, pattern, scribe, etc. to mark and lay out material.
• Aligns and assembles product for welding using crane, lever hoist ,chains, etc.
• Uses cutting or plasma torch to burn to precision layout.
• Adheres to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.

About You

We Require:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, and Stick welding.
• Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
