Qualifications

• Reading American and European blueprints and weld symbols
• Welding on carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Performing first piece, in-process, and final inspections with calipers and gauges

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, callouts and weld symbols to meet client specs
• Weld with GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW per process spec
• Weld a wide variety of metals and alloys
• Use fixtures, gauges, and jigs to produce welded parts to spec
• Assist with creating work instructions and documentation
• Perform inspections with calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures
• Travel between plants to adapt to product mix requirements
• Analyze weld processes and suggest improvements
