Job summary

EK in Fall River, WI is seeking a full-time Manual Welder to join a friendly, hardworking team. Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 03:00 PM–01:00 AM, with overtime as needed; a sign-on bonus and 20% shift premium are offered.

You will read American and European blueprints, weld with GMAW-P, GMAW-S and GTAW on carbon steel, stainless, galvanized steel, and aluminum, perform layouts, use gauges and fixtures, and travel between plants as required.

Qualifications

• Reading American and European blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols.
• Welding with GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW per process sheet.
• Welding variety of metals: carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless, aluminum.
• Layout weldments with minimal supervision and using fixtures.
• Assisting with work instructions and inspection steps.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints and weld symbols to meet client expectations.
• Weld using GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW per the specification.
• Weld parts from carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless and aluminum.
• Layout weldments with little supervision and use gauges/fixtures.

Seeking Manual Welder

EK is looking for a full-time Welder ready to work hard and build their welding experience with our team. We are looking for a new Welder that can weld on a wide variety of metals and alloys, navigate blueprints and directions successfully, and who is ready to take their weld skills to the next level.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Successfully reading and understanding American and European blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols to meet or exceed client expectations
• Using GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW to effectively weld weldments, tanks, and metal parts together per the weld process specification sheet
• Performing welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Hand layouts of weldments with little to no supervision or assistance
• Using fixtures, gauges, and jigs to manufacture welded parts to customer specifications
• Assisting with creating work instructions
• Completing first piece, in process, and final inspections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures
• Pressure testing fuel tanks and hydro testing glycol tanks
• Traveling between plants and adapting to the product mix requirements at each facility
• Analyzing weld processes and recommending process improvements
