The A Mechanic works independently to diagnose, identify, repair, and return equipment to service with a strong sense of responsibility for fleet upkeep. To qualify, candidates must possess full mastery of the B and C Mechanic skill sets, and demonstrate safety

An “A” Mechanic is a highly skilled technician capable of diagnosing and repairing all but the most complex and specialized issues related to mobile equipment. This role requires extensive knowledge and significant hands‑on experience in repairing internal combustion engines, transmissions, electrical, and hydraulic systems. An “A” Mechanic works independently to diagnose, identify, repair, and return equipment to service, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility for the performance and upkeep of the mobile equipment fleet. To qualify for this level, candidates must possess full mastery of all skill sets and competencies required of both “B” and “C” Mechanics.
