Job summary

The position directly supports senior mechanics and operations. You will perform preventive maintenance, operate various vehicles and equipment, complete inspections and maintenance reports, and help keep the work area safe and organized.

Qualifications

• Aptitude for mechanical work with foundational understanding of engines, transmissions, electronics and hydraulics.
• Willingness to perform extended manual labor and physical tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions, policies and procedures accurately.
• Ability to complete minor inspections and maintenance documentation.
• Comfort operating a range of vehicles and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements and greasing.
• Clean radiators and filter housings and operate air compressors.
• Operate vehicles and mobile equipment including fuel trucks, forklifts, pumps and light towers.
• Complete inspections, oil sample analyses and maintenance reports.
• Provide extended manual labor including lifting, stocking, sweeping and area upkeep.
• Follow policies and procedures and carry out assigned tasks.
• Conduct minor equipment repairs and pre-start inspections.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Job Title

Mechanic Helper – supports the maintenance team with mechanical work. The role is physically demanding and requires an aptitude for mechanical tasks, with foundational understanding of internal combustion engines, power transmission, electronics, and hydraulic systems. The position directly supports senior mechanics and overall company operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, oil sampling, greasing, and pressure washing equipment.
• Clean radiators and filter housings using compressed air and operate air compressors.
• Operate various vehicles and mobile equipment, including fuel trucks, lube trucks, forklifts, pumps, light towers, power tools, and hoists.
• Complete minor documentation tasks such as inspections, oil sample analysis, and maintenance reports.
• Perform extended manual labor, including lifting, shoveling, stocking shelves, sweeping, and general upkeep of equipment and work area.
• Follow instructions, policies, and procedures as directed.
• Conduct minor equipment repairs, perform pre-start inspections, and check fluid levels to ensure equipment is safe and ready for operation.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
