Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Raymond, MS is seeking a Welder to position, align, fit and weld metal components according to design drawings and tolerances. You will fabricate or repair parts for automotive service equipment with emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Welding certificate preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor and clamp parts.
• Selects torch, torch tip, filler rod and flux according to welding chart specifications or metal thickness.
• Turns regulator valves and lights torch to obtain desired flame and gas mixture.
• Welds along joints and inspects bead size and quality.
• Chips or grinds off excess weld slag or spatter and cleans parts.
