Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Raymond, MS is seeking an assembler to assemble metal products at the bench or on the shop floor, following blueprints and using hand and power tools.

You will operate overhead hoists, forklifts, and pallet jacks, with potential station changes as production needs require. The job may include overtime and other duties as assigned, with growth opportunities in a family-owned, American-made leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Up to 1 year of experience or demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret simple instructions and work instructions.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Positions parts according to blueprints; fastens with bolts, screws, rivets, or fasteners.
• Audit production parts to maintain adequate stock.
• Remove small quantities of metal to fit parts.
• Operate hand tools or portable power tools to assist assembly.
• May work at different stations as production needs warrant.
• Operate overhead hoist to maneuver material.
• Operate forklift to move products throughout the plant.
• Operate hand tools to assemble products.
• Operate pallet jacks throughout the plant.
• Work overtime as scheduled; additional duties as assigned.
