This role involves performing high-quality welding operations on various materials and pipe sizes in industrial and construction environments, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to specifications. Job Responsibilities:\*\* \* Perform welding tasks using various processes (e.g., SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW) on piping systems, vessels, and structural components according to blueprints, welding procedures (WPS), and industry codes (e.g., ASME, AWS). \* Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine proper welding techniques and material requirements. \* Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, fitting, and cleaning surfaces to ensure proper joint preparation. \* Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety. \* Inspect welded joints for quality, ensuring adherence to specifications, identifying and correcting defects as necessary. \* Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations. \* Collaborate with other team members, supervisors, and inspectors to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met. \* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment. \* Document welding activities, including material usage, completion times, and inspection results. \* May be required to perform other duties as assigned to support project needs. Job Qualifications:\*\* \* High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized welding program or apprenticeship is highly preferred. \* Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as a Welder, specifically with a strong background in Process Piping and Vessels (PPV). \* Demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding processes (e.g., SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW) and the ability to weld various materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys). \* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics accurately. \* Knowledge of relevant welding codes and standards (e.g., ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1). \* Possession of current welding certifications is a significant plus. \* Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices in an industrial setting. \* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. \* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. \* Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods and work in various weather conditions. \* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. \* Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
