Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an skilled Welder with Process Piping and Vessel (PPV) expertise to join our field team. You will perform welding on piping systems and vessels per blueprints, WPS, and industry codes, ensuring high quality and safety on industrial sites.

The role requires the ability to read drawings, prepare joints, and operate welding equipment across SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; welding program or apprenticeship preferred.
  • 1–5 years welding experience in PPV (Process Piping and Vessels).
  • Proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW welding processes on carbon steel and stainless steel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding on piping systems, vessels, and structural components per drawings, WPS, and codes (ASME, AWS).
  • Interpret welding symbols and blueprints to determine technique and material requirements.
  • Prepare materials including cutting, grinding, fitting, and cleaning for welding.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment safely and reliably.
  • Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with specs and codes.
  • Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations on site.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, inspectors, and crew to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Document welding activities and material usage; aid in project reporting.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
