Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, Texas is seeking a Pipefitter to assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems for industrial applications.

The candidate should read blueprints and P&IDs, measure and weld pipes, install sections, and perform hydrostatic testing while following OSHA and ASME standards. Teamwork, safety, and physical endurance are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pipefitter apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience as a Pipefitter in energy services or construction.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with OSHA and ASME safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, isometrics and P&IDs to determine routing, dimensions and specs.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes per project requirements.
• Install and assemble pipe sections, fittings, valves; ensure alignment and tight connections.
• Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing to verify integrity.
• Inspect and maintain piping; identify corrosion, leaks, or blockages.
• Operate hand and power tools: pipe cutters, threaders, grinders and welding equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies; collaborate with team to complete projects on time.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; may train junior pipefitters.

Job Responsibilities\*\* \* Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs to determine pipe routing, dimensions, and specifications. \* Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes according to project requirements using various tools and equipment. \* Install and assemble pipe sections, fittings, and valves, ensuring proper alignment and tight connections. \* Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing on piping systems to verify integrity and detect leaks. \* Inspect and maintain existing piping systems, identifying and resolving issues such as corrosion, leaks, or blockages. \* Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, including pipe cutters, threaders, grinders, and welding equipment. \* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations. \* Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople, supervisors, and project managers to ensure timely project completion. \* Maintain a clean and organized work area. \* May assist in the training and mentoring of junior pipefitters. Job Qualifications\*\* \* High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pipefitter apprenticeship program is highly preferred. \* Proven experience as a Pipefitter, preferably within the energy services or construction industry. \* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. \* Strong knowledge of various piping materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC) and their applications. \* Demonstrated ability to perform precise measurements, cutting, threading, and welding (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW certifications a plus). \* Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, ASME). \* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. \* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. \* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and at heights, and stand for extended periods. \* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.**Company Overview:**Primoris Energy Services is a major direct-hire contractor in the U.S. delivering self-performed turnkey industrial construction and EPC services.
