Job summary

Trillium Construction is seeking Stainless Welders for a short-term tank repair project in Janesville, MN. The role involves stainless flux welding on tank components, changing seals, and replacing a carbon steel tank bottom with stainless steel, with 80+ hours weekly and 10- to 12-hour shifts.

Project runs Sept 11–20; night shift pay applies. Candidates must have 3+ years stainless flux welding experience and be able to pass a 3-position weld test and pre-employment screening.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform stainless flux welding on tank components.
• Change out seals on an existing tank.
• Replace a carbon steel tank bottom with a stainless steel tank bottom and reseal the tank.
• Perform welding in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Follow site safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Work in and around tank/confined-space operations as required.

Pay: $34/hr
Night Shift Pay: $39/hr (night shift starts 9/15)
Per Diem: $125/day for all 7 days unless the required schedule was not worked.
Schedule: 80+ hours/week; 10-hour shifts initially, moving to 12-hour shifts.
Project Duration: September 11–20

• 3+ years of stainless flux welding experience
• Tank welding experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to pass a 3-position weld test
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening
• Must be willing to work extended hours and night shift as needed
• Weld Test: September 9 in Dundas, MN. Test includes vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions using 309 carbon-to-stainless with flux and bend testing. $100 bonus for passing the weld test.
