Job summary

ASTEC in Blair, NE is seeking a Welder for the night shift to join our safety‑driven fabrication team. You will cut, fit, and weld components, read detailed drawings, and operate overhead cranes with rigging experience to assemble parts that meet specifications.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, forklift/rigging experience, and can pass a welding test. We offer health benefits, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, and opportunities for training and growth.

Our Day Shift hours are Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm, Friday 6:00am-2:30pm.

Our Night Shift hours are Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-5am.

We have positions available for both day and night shifts.

What You’ll Do

• Cut and prepare surfaces or components.
• Lay out, position, fit, tack, weld, and finish a variety of parts or products following established methods and specifications.
• Handle and position heavy components using an overhead crane, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Other job duties as assigned.

What We Need From You
