Job description

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a motivated and experienced production welder for the night shift (4:30pm - 3:00am). This full-time position involves performing MIG welding on various structural steel components, including rigid frame columns, rafters, pipe, and small parts, often involving thin gauge, painted, or galvanized materials.

The role offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off from day one, and mentorship to support career growth. Overtime is expected, and the position includes bonus pay and quarterly gainsharing bonuses.

Responsibilities include:

• Following all safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment
• Adjusting welder settings for optimal bead quality
• Reading tape measures and blueprints accurately
• Training others in welding procedures
• Operating overhead cranes and other lifting equipment
• Maintaining quality and proper bead shape, size, and penetration
• Engaging in continuous improvement practices

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of welding experience in a production setting or valid welding certification
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings
• Willingness to obtain and maintain CWB and AWS certifications
• Experience with forklift and crane operation is a plus
• Comfort with power tools and basic mathematical skills
