What You'll Do
  1. Work from complex drawings and documented work instructions using weld symbology knowledge.
  2. Make standard setups and maintain operating conditions as prescribed, consulting supervisors or technical leaders for questionable settings.
  3. Establish and develop weld schedules with engineering personnel.
  4. Maintain quality and productivity levels, adjusting machines and tooling as needed. Troubleshoot and correct issues.
  5. Inspect parts with measuring equipment like micrometers, verniers, and perform leak checks. Conduct visual inspections for weld integrity and forward parts for dimensional inspection when needed.
  6. Ensure quality using quantitative charting techniques, including Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  7. Assist and/or train team members when required.
  8. Utilize basic computer skills for labor transactions and other functions.
Secondary Elements
  1. Perform other duties as assigned.
  2. Maintain records, detect faulty equipment or unusual conditions, and keep the work area clean and safe. Follow safety rules and wear PPE.
  3. Work effectively with others and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  4. Comply with all quality and safety procedures, attending relevant training.
What You Bring
  • Education: 5 years related experience, HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing accounting, financial analysis, cost accounting, or inventory management.
