Job Description

West Side manufacturing company is currently seeking an experienced welder for a full-time position.

Wages are commensurate with experience; company-paid benefits; attendance bonus available.

In addition to oral, written, and technical communication skills; mechanical aptitude; reading skills; and time management, the responsibilities include:

1. Set up and operate gas welding machines to weld metal parts according to work orders, blueprint layouts, and verbal instructions.
2. Maintain accurate record-keeping of settings from precision control panels or power packs for repeat applications.
3. Clean parts to remove contamination prior to welding.
4. Set up and operate all phases using clamps, fixtures, and torches working to specific tolerances.
5. Set up and operate stick welding machines to repair, join, or fabricate parts working with sketches or verbal orders.
6. Follow blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances.
7. Report production discrepancies to management.
8. Comply with company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
