Job Summary/Essential Functions:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform welding on all equipment at the jobsite.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of catastrophic failures.
- Fuel and grease equipment as required.
- Keep records of work performed.
Special Skills or Qualifications Required:
- At least one year of experience in welding and repair of heavy diesel equipment, with experience in hard surfacing and repair of ground engaging tools.
- Ability to weld in all positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead).
- Properly use a torch, air arc, stick weld, and wire weld.
- Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding units and metals used in mining equipment.
- At least one year of experience in align boring and re-facing.
- Basic math skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements, Surface Operations:
- Perform functions like walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders, working overhead, bending forward, and twisting.
- Stand and squat for prolonged periods.
- Sit for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles.
- Work from elevated positions, climb stairs/steps, and ascend/descend a 14' ladder.
- Lift/raise 10-50 lbs frequently.
- Carry boxes up to 50 ft with a 50 lbs load.
- Lift boxes from floor to shoulder and from 17" to 36" with a 50 lbs load.
- Work overhead with a 5 lbs load in each hand.
- Maintain balance on narrow beams.
- Perform repetitive hand/wrist motions and have rapid reflexes and good hand-eye coordination.
- Work in extreme conditions, including varying weather, dust, mud, noise levels, lighting conditions, and confined spaces.
- Work with equipment that has moderate to high vibration levels.
- Wear protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other PPE as required.
