Job summary

Menasha Corporation seeks an experienced welder to fabricate and repair metal components, interpret blueprints and schematics, and operate industrial welding equipment in a production setting.

You will inspect welds, start and stop machines, troubleshoot issues, maintain a safe work environment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time on-site role based in Piedmont, SC, with opportunities within Menasha Packaging and ORBIS divisions.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting blueprints, diagrams or schematics for welding.
• Ability to operate welding machines safely in a production environment.
• Willingness to work in non-welding areas when needed and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine welding process.
• Inspect welded joints for structural soundness.
• Start up and shut down welding machines properly.
• Operate machines safely, ensuring quality, waste control and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machine or rack related issues and adjust as needed.
• Work in non-welding areas when required; follow safety training and docs.
• Participate in CI, 5S and STW activities and keep work area clean.
• Support team goals and maintain a safe work environment.

Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.2. Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness.3. Start up and shut down machines properly.4. Consistently and safely operates machines at or above standards of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization.5. Troubleshoot, identify and correct machine/rack -related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine.6. The ability and flexibility to work in non-welding areas when the situation presents itself.7. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).8. Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.9. Contribute to a team effort.10. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.11.
