Job summary

JR Metal Works LLC in Kentucky is seeking a Welder to join our growing team. You will weld and fabricate metal parts to exact drawings and quality standards, using MIG and TIG processes and a range of metals in a fast-paced shop.

You should read blueprints, set up equipment, inspect work, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while collaborating with teammates to meet production goals and uphold our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This position works closely with the production team to produce accurate, high-quality parts while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG/TIG welding and other welding processes as needed
  • Weld and fabricate components from aluminum, stainless steel, and/or mild steel
  • Read and follow basic blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Set up welding equipment and select appropriate settings for the job
  • Inspect work for accuracy, appearance, and quality
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Work with teammates to meet production schedules and quality expectations
  • Identify issues and communicate concerns before they become larger problems
  • Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous welding or fabrication experience preferred
  • Ability to read and understand basic drawings and measurements
  • Comfortable using hand tools and shop equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Dependable and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Entry-level candidates with welding training or education are encouraged to apply.
