Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Welder II for onsite work in Keosauqua, Iowa. The role involves joining metal components using shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding, reading blueprints, and following detailed work orders on a 3rd shift.

The Welder will lay out, align, and secure parts, inspect pieces for defects, operate various hand tools, and maintain a safe, organized work area while meeting quality specifications. A commission-based element may apply based on performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Read and interpret written instructions and work orders (blueprints).
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate hand and power tools used for welding.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts using straight edges and rulers.
