Job summary

Primetals Technologies USA in Cortland, OH is seeking a Welder II to weld aluminum, steel and other metals per engineering drawings. You will work from sketches and operation sheets, position parts, and maintain quality in a manufacturing setting.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2–5 years welding experience, welding certification, and a valid driver’s license. Crane/Forklift training provided; full benefits start on day one; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2–5 years welding experience.
• Crane/Forklift – in-house training to obtain certification.
• Welding Certification.
• Driver’s license.
• Ability to use hand tools, safety boots, hard hats, safety glasses, welding gloves.

Responsibilities

• Welds aluminum, steel and other metals per drawings and specs.
• Welds parts using arc and flame cutting equipment in multiple positions.
• Works from sketches, prints, operation sheets and written/verbal instructions.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded and builds up worn surfaces.
• Leads a specific project without supervision when assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
