Job summary

Primetals Technologies USA is hiring a Welder II for our Cortland, OH facility to weld aluminum, steel and other metals per engineering drawings and specifications.

The position requires a High School Diploma, 2-5 years of welding experience, welding certification, and a valid driver’s license. In-house crane/forklift training is provided, and a comprehensive benefits package begins on day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Welding Certification required.
• Experience 2-5 years in welding.
• Crane or forklift training provided to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Welds aluminum, steel and other metals per specifications.
• Welds parts according to drawings and specs.
• Operates hand welding and flame cutting equipment under supervision.
• Interprets sketches, prints and operation sheets.
• Prepares surfaces for welding.
• Performs welding in multiple positions (G3, G6).
• Leads a specific project with minimal supervision.
• Builds up worn/defected surfaces.
• Other work as assigned by management.
