Safco in Milford, IA is seeking a Welder II to set up and perform welding operations up to quality standards at our manufacturing plant. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires alignment with safety policies on the production floor.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years of welding experience, with proficiency in blueprint reading and use of inspection equipment. Competitive benefits and a $2,000 sign-on bonus are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of weld experience.
• Proven experience reading blueprints and using inspection equipment/measuring devices.
• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.
• Previous experience with computer skills such as typing, printing and data entry.
• Ability to use math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform welding per prints including spot welding, robotic welder, and MIG welding.
• Finish the product to meet workmanship standards (grinding and sanding).
• Enter work order data required for labor reporting into the computer system.
• Use inspection equipment and review blueprints to ensure work meets quality standards.
• Maintain a clean workstation and production floor.
• Follow health and safety policies and guidelines.
