A day in the life of a Welder at REV:

• Perform all GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding procedures, including machine settings, bottles, and fittings
• Welding aluminum and setting up/maintaining welding machines (tip, liner, changes, etc.) and welding in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions
• Inspect welds for cracks, burn-through, and spatter
• Welding of aluminum and stainless steel where required
• Grind and clean areas as needed
• Stay current in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and perform basic mechanical adjustments on equipment
• Follow hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures

Required education, skills, and experience:

• Preferred 1-year experience in manufacturing
• Preferred high school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings; perform shop math for layout, fabrication, and welding
• Knowledge and experience with welding machines
• Professional communication and ability to follow instructions
• Teamwork skills
• Successful drug and background screening

Physical demands:

• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, climbing ladders
• Work with arms above head
• Operate safety equipment
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Work in non-temperature-controlled environments
